Savia Ecoaldea Vegana is an intentional community project based in a shared country house in the rural landscape of Western Asturias, Spain, surrounded by lush green landscapes. The community is built upon three main core ideas: veganism, agroecology, and collective living.
Our mission is to share our lives and space with like-minded people, creating strong bonds and practicing mutual care. Savia is designed for individuals with a deep, genuine desire to live in community, building a safe, sustainable home focused on personal growth, respect for diversity, and low environmental impact. We aim to be an open space for sharing our values, knowledge, and a simpler way of life.
Beyond residential living, we offer temporary stays for visitors to experience our project first hand through workshops on veganic agriculture, vegan ethics, nonviolent communication, and self-sufficiency. The project features a shared traditional country house with private rental rooms (with an initial 4-month trial period and a minimum 1.5-year commitment). The property includes a 1-hectare (2.47-acre) agricultural plot dedicated to an organic, veganic garden producing food for self-consumption without animal exploitation.
