First season of growing on a 1/3 acre plot. Focusing on building humus content using veganic materials like straw, hay, and mushroom compost. Going to try: Chicory, carrots, beets, zucchini, pumpkins, sugar snap peas, shelling peas, string beans, potatoes, garlic, scallions, leeks, cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, peppers, chili, eggplant, salads and macro greens, spinach, different types of cabbage such as broccoli, cauliflower, kale, palm cabbage. I will also grow flax, gourd, loofah, maybe corn, different types of flowers, green manure: different types such as tagetes, marigold, honey phacelia and rye. Will grow fruit and berries black currants, strawberries, white mulberries, apples, blueberries, mini kiwi and pawpaw. For spices I’m thinking dill, basil, parsley and others.
My form of activism is starting this business. With this business I hope to reach more people so that I can educate them about how animals are still used for vegetable farming and do not need to be.
