What all can be grown on 1/3 of an acre? That’s what jaz has been discovering the past two years. As her relationship with the land she stewards in Asheville, North Carolina grows, so do the projects!
The fiber and field project is working on growing herbs, fruit, vegetables, flowers, dyes, and fiber. This little field has big hopes of becoming an example of what it looks like to be deeply connected to as many parts of our lives as we can. Whether it’s the clothes we wear, natural remedies, food, or growing fertilizer that will feed those plants, jaz wants to be able to walk outside and build a life off of the land that is in harmony with her lifestyle, the natural world, and mindful of our animal friends through veganic and sustainable growing practices.
