Shangri-La is a charitable trust in New Zealand since 2000, whose core purpose is to educate the public about vegan living, veganic growing, and farm-to-table plant food preparation.
The property is 454 acres with rivers and springs, bordering the national forest to the south and a nature reserve north of us. It is 100% off grid, powered by solar, and self-sufficient with regard to water.
Shangri-La is a demonstration project, proving that we can live alongside the free-living pigs, possums, rabbits and birds, who are poisoned and killed by most New Zealand farmers.
